Local Janet Bucahnan Wins Age Group By 30 Minutes

Buchanan dominates the 60-64 age group with raw talent and dedicated training. This combination produced an age group win by 28 minutes. She is a strong swimmer regularly swimming masters and open water swim sessions. Although, she came out of the water first in her age group she was only ahead by 20 seconds. She put a six minute lead on the flat bike course. But, she unloaded on the run adding nearly 20 more minutes on her closest competitor.

The amazing part is that she finished with a time that would place her in the top 50% of the Men’s 30-34 age group.
