Paralax Scrolling

Parallax scrolling is a special scrolling technique in computer graphics, wherein background images move by the camera slower than foreground imaes, creating an illusion of depth in a @d video gamesand adding to the immersion.

This is Biamar, a European clothing company. This is their newest lines. It is a site that utilizes parallax design, so it is automatically awesome, to me. Like we learned in exercise 3, it has full scalable fixed background photos. I think those add a certain level of class to a web site. The nav bar is a constant floating box in the upper right hand corner, so it is always there. I could see how this would be beneficial in a mobile viewport, so you do not have to scroll all the way up or down the page to jump to a different section. Parallax in general is great for Responsive design and a world where we increasingly access the web on our viewport limited phones. The different lines have really cool roll overs that are unique and simple, but grab your attention. This is the only place the roll over style is used on the site so it is not over used and annoying. The parallax scrolling photo at the very bottom of the city scape that looks 3D because of the parallax scrolling is captivating which keeps you looking until BAM you see the company’s information and Facebook.
